The Baptism

Grandma and Grandpa Allen came from Phoenix to join us.

Remy was insistent that she was going to sing a solo at the microphone ...and she did.

Luckily he had all his Romney cousins there and they sang for him, or in other words Gunner sang and the rest stood there!

And the day after Christmas...

Tate had his 8th Bday party. His birthday was the next day (Sunday) . We jumped on the Brinca-Brinca, and ate cake. It was Freezing.

We have tried to get a family picture FOREVER!! and at the end of Christmas day we were all tired and restless so this is what we got!

Cade got his heated sleeping bag he has been wanting,Gunner got even more COLTS stuff and Tate got everything he asked for but his knife was the favorite!

50 years ago grandpa Doe Romney decided to build his house up on the hill that was over looking the town, people thought he was odd for doing that, now we have a big family compound up on this same hill and the Temple was built on this same property.

Grandpa Doe started putting this star up 40 years ago. he died shortly after that. The tradition has continued all these years. As you drive into our town its the first thing that you see. This is the view we have of it from our house. We love that star!

Christmas Eve Romney style

Each family has their own Christmas traditions. Down here the tradition is to all gather at the matriarchs house, (Grandma Romney) and have fun! The kids played the chimes

We had a few talents performed, and played a game and then came the Pinata!

Yes, this is a Pinata in the house. Its a Christmas Eve tradition at Grandma Romneys house that has been going on since Cade was a child. She still has the same hook up.

All the cousins take turns from youngest to oldest.

Cousin Matt Brooks helps unload the pinata as the kids dive in for the popcorn balls. A fun tradition!

The Ward PaRtY

Our Bishop was insistent this year that we invite the Grinch to our festivities because living in our neck of the woods it had been a grinchy year with the bad people taking away our right of peacefulness. Soo I was put in charge of making sure he came. Remy had been coached before even knowing who the grinch was, but still she was scared senseless when he walked in. The rest of the kids loved it!

Only a few YM were at the party so these few sang for us, Baylor laughed the whole time:)

On Christmas EVE Santa came to help us deliver gifts to some families, and Remy finally let him hug her!

Grade School 2009 Christmas concert

Each year our Grade School puts on a Christmas concert, and each year I look forward to it. I love to see all our children dancing singing and playing their instruments, developing their talents and praising Jesus's birth. I am grateful for the school they go to and the teachers who help them.
