The season ender.??

Im glad one of my cheerleaders took these pictures of Baylor a couple weeks ago in his games because...yesterday he got tackled after a pass ( which he completed) and never got up. We are still waiting to see what the prognosis is but we think his hip was popped out of place or maybe worse. I enjoyed watching him play a couple games this season and wish there could be more but...Thats Football. Especially when your opponents are full grown men. Im sorry Bay.

Cub Scout graduation! hooray!!!

Scouting has been a big part of our lives for the past 6 years. Gunners graduation from cub scouting means we are that musch closer to being DONE WITH SCOUTING!!! He earned his arrow of light and graduated from cub scouts this week. Tate only has how many years left in cub scouts??? If I could just get Baylor to do 2 more merit badges and an Eagle project we'd be that much closer to the end! Thanks Goodness Remys a girl!

A belated....

This is Gunner on his 11th birthday. He got his big breakfast in bed and a trip to the lake. Not everyone gets school off and fireworks on their birthday, but my Mexican Independence day child does! We love Gunner.

Product Test: The Blizzard Maker

Around the middle of August my kids saw this commercial on Nickelodeon for the Blizzard maker. We live in a place where we cant just run out and buy a Blizzard from Dairy Queen so I thought this would be fun. I ordered it for a minimal amount and then ordered extra packets of the ice cream mix, (the maker only came with 3 servings) and I waited, I thought it would be here by the middle of September for my sons bday but it wasnt, finally last week my SIL brought the mail in and it came! So today Remy and I decided to open the box we put it all together and realized you need 1/2 and 1/2 which I did not have, again I cant just run to the store to get it so instead we used 1% milk. It was pretty easy to mix, its just like an ice cream maker and then I had to hand crank it and do that for 10 minutes! Finally the mix hardened and we squeezed it out the bottom. It made about 1 cup serving...so for all the work and mess I give it a 4 or 5 out of 10. The 1% milk worked just not as creamy as a real blizzard I would recommend just buying your kids an automatic ice cream maker with the mix you can buy in stores......And after all that Remy didnt even want it, its sitting in the freezer for one of the boys!
