My mothers day.

As Ive been surfing through blogs this week I have read many tributes to each of your mothers day celebrations. I have enjoyed all that has been written, and realized that my mothers days are somewhat different. My Mothers day celebration isn't specifically on the Sunday in May but on each day throughout the year. I have not been home on Mothers day for at least 4 or 5 years, thats the time of the year that we take a couple trip or a family trip, so I have missed the singing and flowers and tributes at church. My most memorable gift from this day is A couple years ago I was on a trip with Cade and My dear mother was here watching my kids. Gunner had spent a long time making me a card coloring so neatly and writing it all in bubble letters , and when I arrived home my kids all presented me with their individual cards and Gunner so pleased with himself gave me his last as I opened it I couldnt help laughing so hard with tears in my eyes, it said Mom Your the Beast! He was embarrassed that he had misspelled BEST, but still today I can honestly say that was the only gift I remember in my 12+ years as a mom.

My mothers day is everyday as I see my kids reluctantly posing for pictures so I can have those memories, squealing with joy when I bring them a star wars movie, Wrestling with eachother and then crying as they get hurt after I told them not to come crying to me, Hearing them laughing and arguing as they all sleep in the same room, Enjoying cuddling with Remy and Cade when she comes in our room at 2 everymorning, Watching them in plays, and in their games, Playing so nice with eachother and watching Remy just taunt them and they take it, Watching how my boys idolize their Dad, and Especially watching eachother so their dad and I can go out whenever we need to. I love being a mother and I realize this time goes so quickly!
So I do not have to celebrate my mother hood on one specific day, But Im greatful for each of my children and the joy they bring to my life.

You're right! Everyday is Mother's Day, especially when your children are making good decisions! And you are also right about the time passing so quickly. I love you.

Gunner's Beast story is one of my favorites! I think one of the main reasons you have such great kids is because they have such a great mother! Great post!
