This is what my sister wrote to Baylor on his birthday. She makes a blog post about each one in our family, I thought this one was extra special.

Happy Birthday, Baylor!
Today Baylor is a teenager. Jeni, how do you feel about that? Why do my nephews and nieces insist on growing up!!! Well, I'm not sure how to adequately express my feelings about this kid in a short blog, but I'll do my best. Jeni, make sure Baylor reads this.Baylor changed my life. He was born when I was 10. Before him, I hated little kids. I thought they were annoying and took the attention away from me. But, as soon as I saw this little boy, I was amazed at how much I loved him. I didn't know it was possible to feel that much love toward a little baby. Baylor instantly became my favorite person in the whole world. The first 2 or so years of his life, he lived in Mesa, and I would take any chance I could to spend the night at Jeni's apartment so I could play with him. He called me "Kah-ween" and we were best buds. We sent each other cards in the mail, and I have a whole photo album devoted to me and Baylor, the early years. :) The day Jeni and Cade took Baylor and moved to Mexico was just about the saddest day of my life. I remember telling Jeni when she was expecting Gunner, her second child, "I'm really worried because I don't know how I can love the next one as much as I love Baylor!"(Don't worry, Gunner, I do love you just as much!)Why is Baylor so special? Well for one he is so handsome; he already has older girls chasing after him! (Baylor, ignore them!! You're too good for them!) He is ALL BOY - as much as can be! He has won, I don't know how many, MVP awards for basketball and football camps, he was the star football QB this year, he could golf on a normal course when he was 3 or 4. He is PURE talent when it comes to anything athletic. He is smart, he plays the trumpet, and - though he may not admit to it - he is sensitive.He is a GREAT older brother; he loves his little siblings and babysits all the time. When I was looking through pictures to post, I came across several where he was helping with his siblings, mowing the lawn, raking leaves, etc. He always helps. He loves camping, fishing, shooting guns, etc.His one flaw is that he is growing up too fast. He is practically as tall as me and wears bigger shoes than I do. He is no longer my little Baylor outwardly, but to me, he always will be my little buddy. I hope we can always be good friends.I love you, Baylor! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Just because you're a teenager doesn't mean you can stop being sweet : )
