Kristy got to see her Tennis hall of fame
This was the home I liked the best, The Elms. We all decided to give our homes a name too like people of the guilded age did.
Muffy, Kristy and I climbed the 400 steps of the bunker hill monument, that was a climb and my calves felt it for days!
Boston from the tower.
A cute firestation in one of the oldest upscale neighborhoods in Boston.
We met up with our cousin Crystal who goes to MIT, she took us on a tour of Harvard.
I DID get to see some lighthouses!
Plymouth Rock...kind of a small thing, nothing great about it.
The Mayflower II, a true to scale recreation of the original. Man those traveling accomodations were horrible!
Some more mansions we got to tour. We saw 2 extremes. The filthy rich lifestyle of the Vanderbilts and the dirt poor of the pilgrims. I think I appreciate my life today! Although it was nice to dream I lived in their summer homes. It was a wonderful week with great company. Cade got after me for calling and checking on them too much. He did great keeping to my kids BUSY schedule and even taking dinner into a family whos dad just died. I guess its ok for the mom to get away every once in a while!

I would love to see the mansions too! You all look like fashion plates! Fun trip.
What a cool experience, Jeni! I must say, I loved your photos, but what got my attention the most were all your darling outfits (coats, shoes, scarves, belts, etc.) You girls are fashionistas! Where did you get your yellow coat and your leopard print belt???? I need both of those!
Jeni! Looking at all of that made me a little homesick. Too bad this trip was only a few months after we moved. Those are some great things to see, though, and yes, it does help us appreciate our lifestyle. I would have loved to meet up with you:) I'm so glad you got to see beautiful New England, though.
