Yesterday was the LAST day of summer oficially for my kids (Today is Sunday and it doesnt count). So we went to Baylors FIRST high school football scrimmage. He started out doing really good and in the first series of plays went 6 for 6 completions.
Then he got sacked a couple times and the LAST time he didnt get up. Again he got injured, this time we hope its not for too long. A guy tackled him as he was throwing the ball and put his helmet into Baylors throwing arm. We think its just a sprain...But its frustrating!
After that game Remy and I ran over to her FIRST cheerleader fundraiser, selling hot dogs in front of Wal-Mart. Fun times. After all day of that we swam with friends and the adults went to dinner afterwards. A fun full day. I literally havent had time to sit down each day since being here in EL Paso, except on Sundays...thank goodness for them.
Tomorrow is the FIRST day of school here. Here is a list of some more firsts that will happen ...
After 14 1/2 years tomorrow is the FIRST day I will not have any kids at home with me during the day. Remy will be in Kinder, Tate in 4, Gunner 6, and Baylor a freshman. It is the FIRST time I have a child in each primary, middle and high school. It is the FIRST time any of my children have gone to school in the USA. FIRST time ANY of them have eaten in a cafeteria. FIRST time I dont know ANY of their teachers or classmates! FIRST time Baylor refused to get a school haircut and wont let me pick out his clothes! FIRST time I dont know WHAT I AM GOING TO DO WITH MYSELF ALLDAY LONG! and I guess its the FIRST of a new beginning for me. Wish all of us LUCK!

That's a lot of firsts, Jeni...what are you going to do? You used to be so busy with EVERYTHING in Mexico. What will you find to keep your time now? BTW, you have been such an example of service without complaint to me in my life...THANKYOU!
Oh Baylor!!!! Don't let him get hurt anymore!!! Remy looks so cute in her cheer uniform.
I remember when I had one child in each of the schools including college. What an amazing time of life for you. I just wish I could be near you to watch all your precious kids in their activities.
Enjoy this year of firsts!!!
Welcome to the USA! It's go go go all the time! Good luck with all the "firsts"! I hope the kids enjoy their first day of school and that Baylor can get back on the field soon!
